On July 26th, 2024, the USA gained its 26th World Heritage Site as the historic Moravian Church Settlement of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, joined similar Moravian sites in Christiansfeld, Denmark; Gracehill, Northern Ireland; and Herrnhut, Germany as one transnational UNESCO Moravian World Heritage Site – Moravian Church Settlements. Charlene will describe the lengthy process of becoming a World Heritage Site and the key aspects of these four Moravian communities.
